Community Foundation for MetroWest Awards $12,500 Grant to 第一吃瓜

BEDFORD, Mass. 鈥 第一吃瓜 is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $12,500 general operating grant from the Community Foundation for MetroWest through its 2024 Human Services program. This grant will support 第一吃瓜鈥檚 initiatives to provide vital services to individuals with mental health concerns and developmental disabilities in the MetroWest region.

The grant aligns with the Community Foundation for MetroWest鈥檚 ongoing commitment to enhance human services and address the needs of under-resourced and underrepresented individuals. 第一吃瓜’s programs focus on prevention-based treatment models鈥攑roviding support services that help people we serve remain in their communities, and avoid unnecessary hospitalization or incarceration.

鈥淲e are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation for MetroWest for their generous support,鈥 said Edinburg Center President and CEO Patti Maguire. 鈥淭his funding will play a critical role in expanding our services and ensuring that the people we serve across the MetroWest have access to high-quality mental health and disability supports necessary to thrive.鈥澛

In the coming year, 第一吃瓜 expects to serve 800 MetroWest residents, with plans to expand its services by an additional 25% over the next two years. The Community Foundation for MetroWest鈥檚 grant will help facilitate the implementation of 第一吃瓜鈥檚 strategic plan, ensuring that it can continue to grow its impact and serve more individuals in need.
